Enliven Foundation is here to help overcome obstacles for the college-bound single parent. We believe
education is the key to breaking the generational cycle of poverty. If you would like to be considered for a grant
designed to overcome obstacles so that you can further your education (specific trade, apprenticeship, or a 2
to 4-year degree). Please complete this brief initial application. When you hit "SUBMIT", your entry will be
delivered to the Grant Committee of Enliven Foundation for review. Thank you for taking interest in your and

Single parent of a minor child (or children) who is not cohabitating with a partner. Definition of a
cohabitating partner: A living arrangement in which an unmarried couple lives together in a long-
term relationship that resembles a marriage; or regularly residing with an adult of the same or
opposite sex, if the parties hold themselves out as a couple, and regardless of whether the
relationship confers a financial benefit.
Custody of a child (or children) where you are the custodial parent or have joint custody with the
majority of parenting time (visitation rights of another person or child support payments received
from another person is allowed).
Income at or below the Federal poverty level for the applicant’s family size as determined by the
current published Federal poverty guidelines.
The applicant is enrolled or desires to enroll in a trade program, apprenticeship, two-year
college degree program, or four-year college degree program. The trade school or
apprenticeship must be a program that the grant committee determines likely to lead to full-time
gainful employment after completion.

If chosen as a candidate, you will be required to provide:

- Proof of address (copy of utility bill or lease agreement)
- Proof of citizenship or legal residency within the United States
- Name and description of the educational program the applicant wishes to enroll in;
- A letter of recommendation from a non-family member who can speak to your ability,
desire, and commitment such as a teacher, a professor, a mentor, or a coach.
